Hurricane IDA was considered a category 3 hurricane which means there were winds anywhere from 111-130 mph! With winds of this magnitude, buildings as well as street signs and other debris are capable of being damaged. This storm caused many people to unfortunately pass away. Make sure you are well prepared and expect the unexpected! Ida brought up to 3 inches of rain per hour so as you could imagine, water levels were rising fast. Always have a plan and stay safe! Hurricane season is here and SERVPRO is here to help! Make sure you have an emergency plan as well as anything needed if your power goes out. That includes flashlights, batteries, candles, medication, first aid kit, non perishable foods, and water to name a few.
